Upon graduation from high school, he joined the Oklahoma National Guard the same year, setting onto a path of loyalty, discipline, and a commitment to serve the nation. His service was soon put to the most significant test when he was deployed to Iraq from 2007 to 2008.

Educational Journey

Following his military service in Iraq, he pursued a university education in biochemistry at the University of Oklahoma. He graduated with honors in 2010, further cementing his commitment to healthcare. His desire to become a doctor led him to the Oklahoma State Center of Health Sciences, where he completed his education in 2014. Years later, he completed his Family Medicine Residency with flying colors at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington State in 2017. That same year, he achieved a substantial milestone by becoming a Board Certified Family Physician, a title he holds to the present.

Career Accomplishments

Dr. Garrison’s professional career is as illustrious as his military engagements. He served in the U.S. Army for 16 years, from 2005 to 2021. His practice as a family physician compliments his humanity, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to serving his community. From 2017 to 2021, he served as a Brigade Surgeon for the 31 ADA BDE. In addition to his clinical commitments, he deftly oversaw the deployment of American Troops to the Middle East during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is an esteemed member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), a testament to his tireless service, where he celebrated his 10th anniversary.
